Kimonos are constructed to fit various sizes. When we designed the Satoko Coat, we wanted it to fit diffferent heights and sizes as well. Barbara is 5'9" and Vivian is 5'2" and we wanted something that fit us both - no hemming required. The result is a fit that ranges from car coat to duster, 3/4 sleeve to wrist length depending on your height. Here's a visual to show fit on different heights.
