12" x 12" Vintage Kimono Pillow

Kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, literally means "thing to wear".  They are traditionally made from bolts of fabric known as tanmono, which are woven to a width of approximately 14 inches and 12 yards in length. There are many different time consuming processes and techniques involved in creating the fabric, and they are truly works of art - passed down through generations.

These amazing textiles are too beautiful to be stored away.  Surround yourself with our elegant pillows and enjoy incredible pieces of art in your home everyday.

Removable Pillow Cover with Invisible Zipper - Deep rose jacquard of floral fans in 100% silk with a large print of a red crowned crane taking flight. The detailed outlines of this rare bird are accented in metallic silver and gold. The crane symbolizes long life and happiness in the Japanese culture. Fabric from the Kyoto Prefecture in Japan.

There is a series of three crane poses in this collection. This has the largest crane image of the three.

Pillow Insert - 10% down/90% feather, cotton cover. Made in USA.

Reversible Pillow - Backside is from a vintage kimono that is 100% silk with a taupe color geometric jacquard pattern.
