Kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, literally means "thing to wear".  They are traditionally made from bolts of fabric known as tanmono, which are woven to a width of approximately 14 inches and 12 yards in length. There are many different time consuming processes and techniques involved in creating the fabric, and they are truly works of art - passed down through generations.

Removable Pillow Cover with Invisible Zipper - 100% silk with an all over shibori, (tie dye), fabric. In addition to the design and color the shibori dying technique creates, it also gives the fabric texture.  Made from a haori, (kimono coat), found in the Kyoto Prefecture in Japan.
