Modern take on the kimono silhouette using vintage fabric over 30 years old that started its first life as a reversible Michiyuki - front paneled Kimono Coat with buttons and snap closure. Now refashioned for you with an A-Line silhouette and dolman sleeves, this one of a kind garment looks great styled with jeans or dressed up for an evening out. Can be wrapped and belted to be worn as a dress or left open as a duster. Lining is a sumptuous silk charmeuse with a luxurious feel.
Shell Fabric - 100% Silk. This style uses the same textured base fabric printed different ways to give three distinct patterns. The fabric is initially dyed a dusty rose all over. The first effect is to hand screen a solid black on one side. It is a full coverage process that creates a full black color on one side. On the other, where the black ink has seeped thru it creates a two color effect. Then a soft sweep of gradient colors are brushed on to the dusty rose to create another design. We have combined all the fabric printed and dyed effects so they are visible on the coat. Floral guipere lace has black silk chiffon lining. Fabric from the Kyoto Prefecture in Japan.
