Modern take on the kimono silhouette using vintage fabric over 75 years old that started its first life as a Kimono. Now refashioned for you with an A-Line silhouette and dolman sleeves, this one of a kind garment looks great styled with jeans or dressed up for an evening out. Can be wrapped and belted to be worn as a dress or left open as a duster. Lining is a sumptuous silk charmeuse with a luxurious feel.

Shell Fabric - 100% Silk. This is a special fabric called Meisen.  It was one of the first fabrics made with silk that was spun by machine rather than spun by hand which made it very popular among the young fashionable women in the 1920's to early 1950's. The patterns are more abstract from the traditional patterns of the day, and were influenced by abstract artitsts from the West.  Fabric is from the Kyoto Prefecture in Japan. Visit the V&A Meisen Blog for more information on how this wonderful textile is made.  It is quite the process to get one bolt of fabric.
