Modern take on the kimono silhouette using vintage fabric over 30 years old that started its first life as a Kimono. Now refashioned for you with an A-Line silhouette and dolman sleeves, this one of a kind garment looks great styled with jeans or dressed up for an evening out. Can be wrapped and belted to be worn as a dress or left open as a duster. Lining is a sumptuous silk charmeuse with a luxurious feel. This is a rare find as it uses actual silver metal threads in the yarns.
Shell Fabric - 100% Silk. The textural jacquard weave uses real silver metal in the threads. You can see the backside of the fabric at the center back yoke piecing. Put your hand on the silver colored fabric. You will notice that it feels a bit cool to the touch due to the metal content. Now place your hand on the black colored side of the fabric. It feels warmer as the silk threads are primarily woven to the face side of the fabric. Fabric from Hokkaido Prefecture in Japan.
