12" x 12" Vintage Obi Pillow
The obi is a long broad sash worn wrapped around the waist of a kimono. There are many different types, the most formal and traditional being the Maru obi. Most popular during the Meiji (1868-1912) and Taisho (1912-1926) periods, their bulk and weight make them difficult to tie by oneself, and they are currently worn only by geishas and brides.
These amazing textiles are too beautiful to be stored away. Surround yourself with our elegant pillows and enjoy incredible pieces of art in your home everyday.
