18" x 18" Vintage Kimono Pillow
Kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, literally means "thing to wear". They are traditionally made from bolts of fabric known as tanmono, which are woven to a width of approximately 14 inches and 12 yards in length. There are many different time consuming processes and techniques involved in creating the fabric, and they are truly works of art - passed down through generations.
These amazing textiles are too beautiful to be stored away in mothballs so we've turned them into pillows. We hope that you will appreciate the artistry and history as we do.
