To keep our beautiful vintage silk fabrics out of a landfill, we fashioned the fabrics leftover from the garments into patchworked scarves. The Maples and Mums and Floral Accents patterns were taken from  vintage kimonos that are over 30 years old. We first made these two fabrics into the Maples and Mums Satoko Coat. What was not used for the coat, now has a new life as this gorgeous scarf/wrap. 

Faceside Fabrics - 100% Silk. The patterns used in this coat are traditional elements used in Japanese design and feature maple leaves and chrysanthemums. The jacquard weave has a soft sateen ground with matte designs. The soft green dye accents are hand brushed on. Accent fabric has a small floral design. Fabric is from the Hokkaido Prefecture in Japan.

Backside Fabric -  A patchworked kaleidescope of 100% Silk Charmeuse colors along with the Maples and Mums and Floral Accents fabrics.  Silk Charmeuse colors are Mandarin, Chartreuse, and Storm Blue. This scarf can be worn with either side out, (or a bit of both showing), to give you added styling options.
